S3martMed

The European project S3martMed, funded by the European Union’s COSME programme, gathers 5 Clusters dedicated to Healthcare and Medical technologies: Lyonbiopole (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), BioWin (Wallonia), BioRegioStern (Baden-Württemberg ), bioPmed (Piedmont), MedSilesia (Upper Silesia), forming a strategic alliance. The purpose of the alliance is to set up  joint activities and events for the emergence of interregional business / technological collaborations in the medical technologies with a specific attention on SMEs’ growth.

In order to foster collaboration between the European players, S3martMed organizes its second Brokerage event “S3martMed needs SmartTech” - Serving tomorrow's medical devices on March, 24. This event is organised on the eve of Medi’nov, the key MedTech event in France, that will be held on March, 25 & 26 in Lyon (Matmut Stadium). Participants are warmly invited to join the Medi’nov fair and benefit from unique networking opportunities.

The MedTech sector, both traditional medical technology organizations and new market entrants are capitalizing on recent advances in a broad array of technologies such as advanced materials, advanced manufacturing technologies, and advanced software to develop and provide personalized, connected and targeted health care solutions. In the domain, the Research and Technology Organizations (RTOs), by providing expert services and state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, are particularly crucial to support technological development (feasibility, prototyping, demonstration) and reduce time-to-market for innovative companies.

European industry players, SMEs, researchers and clinicians in MedTech are invited to join the event, as a unique opportunity to:

- Learn more about key innovations in advanced material, advanced manufacturing technologies and advanced software for medical devices in Europe;
- Visit the unique 3D printing facility in Europe “3D Fabric of Advanced Biology” dedicated to life sciences and medical devices in Lyon;
- Network with other players including RTOs through face-to-face meetings;
- Get information and support for your future collaboration.
