Funding opportunities for biopharma and health-tech

BioWin organises three project calls per year, focusing on strategic roadmaps and priorities.

These calls offer grants covering 40–80% of project budgets (ranging from €1M to €4M), depending on company size. Eligible projects must aim for significant economic and societal impact within Wallonia.

This funding mechanism follows the same principles as open calls but emphasises collaboration with Walloon clusters, such as Mecatech and Logistics in Wallonia. Cross-expertise is leveraged to foster innovative projects with broader ecosystem benefits.

BioWin collaborates with MEDVIA to support open innovation between Wallonia and Flanders. This joint initiative unites the expertise of both regions to create impactful opportunities.

BioWin provides guidance and support in accessing funding tools such as Win4Company, BELCOO and INTERREG, enabling innovative projects while aligning with regional and national strategies for development.

BioWin helps members access European funding by identifying the right opportunities and connecting them with potential partners through its extensive European cluster network.
