Your Mission

Are you passionate about practical scientific innovation, impactful products, and turning ideas into concrete success?

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the company’s overall R&D strategy and manage projects closely aligned with our commercial priorities. You will directly supervise the R&D Project Managers teams and collaborate in a matrix organisation with the R&D specialists of our subsidiaries by developping innovation project pipeline, and ensuring efficient, results-oriented execution.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Vision & Strategy

  • Define and carry a scientific vision aligned with the company’s business ambitions.
  • Identify new opportunities (market watch, trade shows, customer feedback) and translate them into actionable R&D projects.
  • Build and structure a short-, mid-, and long-term R&D project pipeline.
  • Represent the company to scientific, academic, and industrial partners.

2. R&D Project Management

  • Lead, motivate, support the R&D Project Managers and act yourself as Project Manager.
  • Oversee all R&D projects (quality, deadlines, budget, risks), and make key decisions when needed.
  • Provide clear, useful reporting to the management team.
  • Ensure robust documentation, data traceability, and protection of intellectual property.

3. From Lab to Industrial Scale

  • Work closely with QA, production, sourcing, and industrialization teams to ensure smooth project transitions.
  • Structure the scale-up phases to transform prototypes into industrial solutions.
  • Contribute to technical and regulatory documentation.

4. Active Support to Business

  • Act as the key R&D contact for the Sales, Marketing, and QA teams.
  • Co-develop impactful scientific presentations, especially for the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Take part in trade shows, customer meetings, and conferences with a “solution and added value” approach.

5. Team Leadership & Culture

  • Foster a team culture of collaboration, efficiency, and scientific curiosity.
  • Continuously challenge and improve R&D project management practices.
  • Facilitate effective communication across departments.

Your Profile

Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in life sciences (bioengineering, biochemistry, pharmacy, etc.).
  • Relevant R&D experience (typically 7-15 years) in the life sciences sector as project manager. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a strong asset.
  • Proven track record in project management and technical team leadership.

  • Scientific rigor, autonomy, adaptability, and initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills (internal, partners, clients).
  • Fluency in English is required. Good command in french is an asset.
