We are looking for a Payroll Specialist who is detail-oriented, accurate, and passionate about delivering excellent service to join our Human Resources team, based in our office in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium.
About the role
You will play a crucial role in supporting monthly payroll closings, ensuring accuracy, and meeting statutory reporting requirements. This position involves collaborating closely with Payroll Leads to manage payroll processes and special payroll runs, such as holiday pay and bonuses.

You will be part of a dynamic and supportive Human Resources team that values accuracy, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Together, you will ensure that payroll operations run smoothly and meet all regulatory requirements.
What you’ll do
- Manage the whole time management process & systems (Protime), act as SPOC on topic related to time management, accommodating different populations and rules.
- Provide detailed and accurate reports as requested by the business.
- Support monthly payroll processes by reviewing and loading data provided by HR and third parties, ensuring accuracy and updating the payroll system as needed.
- Perform regular data audits and controls to maintain payroll accuracy and compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
- Execute special payroll runs, including calculations and controls for bonuses, holiday allowances, and other benefits.
- Collaborate with the team to continuously improve payroll processes and systems.
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Human Resources, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll & time management and HR operations, with a strong understanding of HR processes and labor law.
- Excellent command of French and English, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt communication styles to different audiences.
- Proficiency in HR software, including advanced use of Excel, eBlox, and Protime.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail, capable of managing risk and ensuring compliance in a complex environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, showing flexibility and reliability in supporting various payroll and HR tasks.
