Amyl Therapeutics, a preclinical stage biotechnology company developing an innovative technology platform to treat neurodegenerative diseases linked to amyloid fibrils. Unlike current antibody therapies that each target a single pathological protein, Amyl Tx is developing a single therapy, a fusion protein designed to recognize and neutralize the common amyloid structure shared by multiple toxic (amyloid) protein aggregates, (amyloid beta, tau and alpha-synuclein), implicated in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and related neurodegenerative diseases.
